Prayers and our Big Mouths

Why is it we can't seem to get it right when we pray?

Prayers and our Big Mouths

Prayer and its effectiveness is always a sensitive area for Christians. Some say it works, some say it doesn't, some have never tried it and some swear by it! So why is prayer such a contentious issue. Well, as you would expect, I have an opinion which is wholly scriptural and I think worthy to be considered!

We are called to test everything we hear, but what if the scriptures have been changed

Missing Verses & changed words in modern Bibles compared to the KJV?

The King James Version (KJV) of The Bible was published in 1611 and was based upon analysing multiple previous copies of Bibles and manuscripts available at the time.

Fifty four (although only 47 finished) of the most highly respected theologians, linguists and academics were given this task of publishing the most accurate and comprehensive version of the Bible.

Keep Calm and Pray Out Loud

God is not sitting in heaven quaking in his boots, worrying about the troubles of this world and nor should we!

Keep Calm and Pray Out Loud

As a business owner and a Christian I often feel torn between thinking that I have to do everything in my own strength to change what's going on in the world or to shout out from the rooftops that we've got to pray out loud, even to pick up a Bible and go to another country and almost scream at people so that they understand what it means to be a Christian and why it is so important to stop blanking Jesus thinking they've got it all sussed!

Jesus: The SME Tekton from Nazareth

Lets take a look at Jesus as the head of the family business

Jesus: The SME Tekton from Nazareth

When it comes to connecting with various people, Jesus would be the most cosmopolitan and familiar to have walked this earth. I say familiar because everybody who met him felt they had something in common with him. He was a real man's man but women also knew that he was the "one" with compassion and the "one" to be trusted.

If we go back to Jesus' childhood we know that his earthly father, Joseph, was a carpenter and Jesus followed in his father's footsteps to run the family business.

Jesus was not poor, so why does the Church say He was?

The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests - Matt 8:20

Jesus was not poor, so why does the Church say He was?

When discussing if Jesus’ was poor prior to and during his ministry, the immediate response I have received over the past five years is as follows:

The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has no where to lay his head - Matthew 8:20

I came across the information below which seems to make complete sense; however, I am confused as to why so many Church leaders quote the same Scripture yet view it completely differently than below?
