Go Ahead and Blame God Why Don't You!

When bad things happen or when we don't get what we want, we blame God - how staggeringly deplorable have we become.

We are responsible to have allowed this stinking thinking to infect our lives and yet we allow it to continue unabated. Know this - we are duty bound to stop it and change it - our lives depend on it!

Let's get one thing clear. Anyone who acknowledges God must acknowledge Satan. If it wasn't for Satan, Jesus would not have had to die on the cross for us. However, his substitutionary sacrifice meant that he handed back to us the authority that Adam gave to Satan in the Garden of Eden.

To the Gates of Hell and Back

Take note; Jesus did not kill Satan when he died on the cross; he took the keys to the gates of hell and took back Satan's power and authority and handed it back to us. Therefore, Satan is still prowling around like a roaring lion waiting to devour anyone who will listen to his lies (1 Peter 5:8), because that's all he's got, lies!

We are not lead by example?

So it's not surprising that our leaders are being lead by the nose by Satan because they haven't got the grounding in the Word that would enable them to dominate Satan as they should.

Unfortunately, many of our leaders have attained a level of significance for themselves that they believe has nothing to do with God and that only their own efforts got them to where they are, and as a result believe that they can do as they please. Hence Satan has got them by the 'short & curlies' and in typical form, society follows suit.

It might seem like a bleak outlook, but it isn't. We have already won the battle and have the power and authority to 'step on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the enemy' (Luke 10:19).

The Armour of God

Irrespective of what anyone thinks about The Rt .Hon Margaret Thatcher, at her funeral, which she co-planned, she requested that Ephesians 6:10-18 to be read out:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,[c] against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Every Christian must be made aware of what the enemy does; Wars, child abuse, famine, murder, envy, strife, greed, theft, illnesses, accidents, so-called natural disasters and the list goes on!

We have a responsibility to understand and to learn what is going on in our world and be fully aware of who is responsible for bad things happening – i.e. Satan and not God.

The time has come for people to rise up, not in ignorance but in righteous anger against the forces that are affecting and damaging our world. We must learn what this "truth" is about, to become victorious in our work and in our lives and understand that the truth is the Bible.

Permission to Fight Back

As Christians we are told to put on the whole armour of God to go and fight a battle, not to go and play tiddlywinks.

We must know our enemy and in doing so, we will collectively begin to understand why bad things happen in our lives and in society. Margaret Thatcher knew what was going on, but sadly waited until after her death to publicise it!

We are told to resist the devil and he will flee (James 4:7). We fully understand what resisting arrest is because we see it on the plethora of TV reality programs, but when it comes to Christian resisting the devil, we act like wet rags when we should be fighting him off like we're resisting arrest.

The Art of War

Talking of war, consider these Chinese sayings from The Art of War by Sun Tzu:

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle."

"All warfare is based on deception."

All the enemy has is lies. He is not called "The Father of Lies" (John 8:44) for nothing Imagine our Christian faith where everyone knows why bad things happen and can fight against it. If the whole of Christendom where to rise up against Satan and TALK him down (Pv 18:21), what an amazing world this would be.

I've Got the Power!

Jesus has given us the power and authority, though spoken prayer to change everything. We have the instruction book, The Bible, which is the same now as it was in the beginning and has never changed.

Don't forget, we are told to test everything relating to what we are told about the Bible. Do likewise, don't just take my word for it.

Once people understand the beginning, the middle and the end of the Bible, only then will they realise that it is not the person that may be wrong, but what is inside them that is influencing them to behave the way they do.

And that is why we pray. God is faithful, all we need to do is make the first move, because that's how it's always been. Remember the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32), he realised where he went wrong and made the first move to return home. His Father was waiting and when he saw his son walking towards his, he started running to meet him THATS MY GOD.

Can You Handle The Truth?

Get ahead of the curve and don't do faith vicariously, i.e. expecting results through someone else, like your spouse, Pastor or Minister. Know that you are loved by God and that Jesus has got your back, he always has. Know also that you're blessed and take personal responsibility to live the life that God planned for you from before you were born (Jeremiah 29:11).

And finally, if you want change, remember this - if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got!
